Marina Gago-Diaz, MSc

Training:  BSc in Veterinary SciMarianaence from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and MSc in Biomedical Research from Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC). Molecular Medicine PhD candidate at Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela (IDIS). Predoctoral internship at the Cardiovascular Research Center and Center for Human Genetic Research at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and The Broad Institute of Harvard MIT.

Research: I am a Spanish PhD student applying population, Mendelian and complex trait genetics to the study of different diseases that result in aortic aneurysms, such as congenital valvular  disease (bicuspid aortic valve), the main connective-tissue syndromes (Marfan, Loeys-Dietz, Ehlers-Danlos) and non-syndromic but familial cases.
